2328023 - Compensation - Ineligible user still appearing within worksheet but greyed out

Symptom

When eligibility rules are modified or data which applies to an eligibility rule is changed within the UDF the affected employees (now ineligible) are not being removed from the worksheets but greyed out.

**Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental**

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
  • SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Define eligibility for your employees and launch a new worksheet.
  2. In the below example the starting point of the template is "All employees are eligible" and there are no rules defined to exclude anyone.
  3. Employees are therefore populating on the worksheets correctly and we can see their data etc.

  4. If we create a new rule, apply and run a mass update these employee's will be greyed out.
  5. In the following rule we have defined employees with a pay grade of "GR-04" are eligible for Compensation but ineligible for Salary, Merit etc.eligibility rule for ineligible users.png

  6. Run an update of all worksheets once the new rule has been applied and we can see these are now greyed out.

  7. This will also happen when changing any employee data which is used to determine an employee's eligibility.
  8. The user will remain on the worksheet after changing their eligibility.

NOTE: Ineligible users will NOT contribute to the group total which can be seen in the screen shots above.

Cause

This is the expected behaviour.

By Design the worksheet shows all users who were eligible when the worksheet was launched/created.

Resolution

If you wish to remove these employees from worksheets this will have to be manually done.
This can be done through Plan Setup> Manage Worksheets> Employee Membership.
