2328831 - Installation fails with: SQL error 257 - sql syntax error: unterminated quoted string literal

You install a new SAP system based on HANA database. During the import phase into the database an error occurs: "Migration Monitor exits with error code 103. For details see log file(s) import_monitor.java.log, import_monitor.log"
Further checking the package log files as given in SAP Note 2146357 - How to start analyzing Migration Monitor issues during execution of Software Provisioning Manager tool (SWPM) reveals that table import fails with this error:
