Symptom

How to enable Notes history in your opportunity.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Select Implementation Projects.
  3. Edit Project Scope.
  4. Go to the Question phase.
  5. Under the scoping element Sales > New Businesss, Select Opportunity.
  6. Select the question Do you want to enable users to see earlier versions of opportunity notes. 

Resolution

This is the expected system behaviour.

  1. If Notes History scope question aforementioned is off (default setting):
    - There will be a notes section in the header as well as in overview where only a single note will be visible to maintain.
  2. If Notes History is switched on in scoping:
    - No notes section in header
    - Notes History section will be available in overview. Also a notes facet will be available. The content will be same. The facet will give better on-load performance.
