2332218 - Adding custom filters to Standard Tiles for Succession

Symptom

This article provides information on how to add custom filters to Standard Tiles for Succession in People Analytics Dashboards.

Resolution

You can add fields as custom filters to allow users more granular filter options in the People Analytics Tiles.

The following fields can be configured to be used as filters for Succession Tiles:

Department;
Division;
Location;
Custom fields: from custom01 to custom15.

NOTE: Any standard element that is not included in the above list cannot be used as a filter for Standard Tiles. If you want to include more filter options - aside from the supported fields in Standard Tiles - reach out to your Implementation Partners to configure a Custom Tile to fulfill your business requirements, as this request is a paid service.

By default, the fields Department, Division, and Location are already available as filter options for Standard Tiles in People Analytics, if the options for "Show * Field View" are enabled in Admin Center > Filtering Options:

NOTE: There are no additional configuration for these 3 fields. They will always be available as filters under Filtering Options tool, and will be included in all filter engines across the system.

The custom fields 01 to 15 require an additional configuration to allow them to be added as custom filters: Add them under "custom-filters" section of instance datamodel.

Go to Admin Center > Manage Business Configuration;
Expand the "Filters" section;
Open Custom Filters > Default:
Click Take Action > Make Corrections:
Add the custom fields, from 01 to 15 > Save changes:

NOTE: If you add any other fields, that are not the custom fields 01 to 15, system will show a warning message indicating that the changes cannot be saved, because unsupported fields for this filter section were added.
