2332798 - Error 2834 "Expected to find procedure buffer with usage count of 0 and not 0" when plan sharing is on - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A lightweight procedure (LWP) plan may raise Error 2834 during cloning of a primary plan:

Error: 2834, Severity: 26, State: 2
Expected to find procedure buffer with usage count of 0 and not 0.

  • The 'enable plan sharing' configuration parameter is on.
      
  • The error is followed by a stack trace which includes functions:
     
       proc_release
       s_free
       batch_loopend
