Comments field in Time Off cannot be made mandatory.

Reproducing the Issue
Go to employee time object in the configure object definition from admin center and try to make the Comments field required to YES. System will not allow to make the change or the change will not reflect the change.
It is not possible as the comments field which is seen in the Employee time UI (While applying for time off), is not the part of the Employee Time object and that is an internal "technical Field" which is integrated with other systems like workflows.
The actual Comments field in the Employee Time object is used for internal purpose and this cannot be made visible/required in the UI.
This is the system behavior and cannot be changed as this will effect many other integrations.
