Enabling "Enable Security Generic Filter"

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Resolution

Abstract - The Partner provisioning screen is a restricted area that cannot be accessed by customers. Access is granted exclusively to SAP Partners and Product Support teams, who are responsible for managing the provisioning process. This KBA has been updated to clearly outline these access limitations and clarify the roles of the relevant teams in managing this process. If you do not have an SAP partner contracted please raise a ticket with product support team under component LOD-SF-PLT-PSI to proceed with the steps below. 

 

The security generic filter configuration contains:

  • A switch which can be used to turn on/off the whole filter function.
  • A list of security rule configuration. i.e. rule switch.

 

Following below steps to configure security generic filter for a company:

  1. Login in Provisioning and select the company.
  2. Click on the Application Security Settings link.
  3. In the Security Generic Filter Management tab content, you will see the current settings.

To turn on/off the filter

  1. Select ON/OFF from the switch options.
  2. Click on Save Changes button.
  3. In the popup dialog,  click Confirm to save the changes.
  4. You should get a message alert if saved successfully.  

 

To enable/disable security rule (you can do this only when the filter is turned on)

  1. Click on the Take Actions dropdown menu for the rule.
  2. Click on the Make Active/Make Inactive link to enable/disable the rule. 
  3. Click on Save Changes button.
  4. In the popup dialog,  click Confirm to save the changes.
  5. You should get a message alert if saved successfully.
