2335934 - The Edit Button is Not Available for Journal Entry Vouchers Created from Recurring Journal Entry Vouchers

You want to reverse a journal entry voucher created from a recurring journal entry voucher. However, when you open the document, you notice that the Edit button is not available, and hence you cannot reverse it.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to General Ledger work center.
2. Go to Journal Entries > Journal Entry Vouchers sub view.
3. Open the respective voucher of Journal Entry Type Recurring Journal Entry Voucher

Notice that the Edit button is not present, and hence the Reverse button is also not available.

The system behaves as expected here. Since the JEV belongs to the Recurring Journal Entry Voucher, the created JEV cannot be edited inside the RJEV template.

As a workaround to reverse the voucher, the Reverse button can be reached from the Journal Entry Vouchers sub view itself, by selecting the voucher and clicking Actions > Reverse.
