2336045 - The employee status is not propagating to the future records

Symptom

The employee status is not propagating to the future records

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

SAP Successfactors Employee Central - Job Information

Reproducing the Issue

The employee status ‘Furlough’ is not propagating to the future records.

Navigate to employee’s job history. Note that he is active with the last change on 12/8/15.

1.jpg

Navigate to the Manage Time Off screen. Submit a LOA (such as Layoff with Benefits). Make the Start date before 12/8/15.

2.jpg

Navigate back to the job history. Note that employee status is “furlough” on the LOA record…

3.jpg

…but the employee status is “Active” on the 12/8/16 record (meaning the status did not propagate to the future record).

4.jpg

The Return from Leave is 01/26/2016 which is after the current record dated 12/08/2015.

Resolution

  • Forward propagation is not supported for "furlough" status.
  • There is no workaround currently to have this propagated to future records.
  • Only status’ that will be propagated to future records are "Terminated", "Paid leave" or "Unpaid leave".
