2336877 - 'No Balance carry forward since YYYY-2, only current values shown' Error in Trial Balance Report

You have run Trial Balance Report for Fiscal Year YYYY and the error message is shown as:

'No Balance carry forward since YYYY-2, only current values shown'

YYYY means fiscal year.

YYYY-2 means the fiscal year two years behind YYYY.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Analytics Work center.
2. Go to Design Reports.
3. Show All Reports.
4. Find Trial Balance Report.
5. Give the Selection criteria Company ID, Set of Books, Accounting Period/Year.
6. Choose Go.
7. Error is displayed:

'No Balance carry forward since YYYY-2, only current values shown'

Postings performed by the Balance Carry forward Run are integral when pulling Financial Reports. In case the Balance Carry forward has not been performed for the Previous Fiscal Year YYYY-1 (YYYY-1 means the fiscal year one year behind YYYY.), then the Trial Balance Report for Fiscal Year YYYY accommodates this by simulating the postings of the Balance Carry forward for Fiscal year YYYY-1 but it does not simulate the postings next-to-last year YYYY-2. The Trial Balance YYYY-1 works as expected with simulated Balance Carry forward (YYYY-2).

You have to run the Balance Carryforward Run for Fiscal Year YYYY-2.
