2337107 - Error in report: No SID Found for Value ABC of Characteristic XYZ

You are running a report or a data source and you receive the following error message: No SID found for value 'ABC' of characteristic @XYZ.

(ABC stands for the unit of measure or currency, and XYZ refers to the characteristic.)

• SAP Business ByDesign
• SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the work center Business Analytics.
2. Go to the view Design Reports or Design Data Sources.
3. Search for your report or data source and open it.
4. Make the required selections and run it.

 You will see the above error message.

The currency or unit of measure ABC is not maintained as a valid currency / unit of measure (UoM) in the system. However the report or data source contains documents that have this invalid unit. This can happen if you either maintain documents such as invoices or credit memos incorrectly, or if you upload the currency / UoM into a cloud data source without maintaining it in the system first.

Please correct the document so that it uses valid currencies or units of measure. Alternatively, you can maintain the currency / UoM in the business configuration of your system, so that the system recognizes it. This can be done in the business configuration activities 'Quantities and Units of Measure' or 'Currencies' respectively.
