2337741 - Planing Upload Error: Invalid Character in FinancialPlanData/ID

You are uploading the Planning/Budgeting for the year and end up getting the error as 'Invalid Character in FinancialPlanData/ID'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Choose the Planning view.
3. Choose New, Plan Version from Microsoft Excel and File upload.
4. Logon to SAP Business ByDesign dialog box and enter the details.
5. Click the button Save Data To.

Error: Invalid Character in FinancialPlanData/ID.

Plan Version Cell is Case-Sensitive and also got String Values coded in the backend for this column content.

Format the Plan Version ID either with

• Only numbers, for example 123456789
• Only Capital letters, for example TEST (not test or Test).
• A combination of numbers and words

Please Note: All number groups and word - number combinations must not have spaces:

Example:

• Enter 123-456-789 or 123_456_789 (not 123 456 789)
• Enter TEST-123 or TEST_123 (not TEST 123 or Test 123)
