Symptom

During a SPAM/SAINT update or SUM upgrade, you receive the error that a table was created but not journaled.

Table <table name> in R3<SID>DATA created but was not journaled


Message ID . . . . . . :   SQL7905      
                                                                             

Message . . . . :   Table <table name> in R3<SID>DATA created but was not journaled.  

Cause . . . . . :   The table <table name>was created in R3<SID>DATA, but the table
was not journaled. 
Either a QDFTJRN data area indicated that journaling should not be started, the default journal did not exist, or the default  

where <table name> is the name of the database table and <SID> is the System ID of the SAP system
