2338800 - Messages Fail with Mapping Failed Exception in PI

• Messages go into error in PI with the exception below:
  
  com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error encountered while executing mapping: com.sap.aii.af.service.mapping.MappingException: Mapping failed
  
  
• When capturing traces for the issue as per 1514898 - Troubleshooting SAP Process Orchestration / Integration you can see the following:
  
  Catching com.sap.aii.af.service.mapping.MappingException: Mapping failed
  ..........
  Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: TransformerFactory does not recognise attribute ' http://sap.com/java/xslt/ext-classloader'
  at com.sun.org.apache.xalan.internal.xsltc.trax.TransformerFactoryImpl.setAttribute(TransformerFactoryImpl.java:485)
