2339533 - Error "AdoNetRegistrar4 has stopped working" while installing PC Client - SAP SDK for ASE

Symptom

  • While installing Adaptive Server Enterprise PC Client 15.7, pop-up message appears:
    Error "AdoNetRegistrar4 has stopped working"
  • Clicking "Close the program" in GUI pop up results in installation continuing and then presenting "The installation failed" message once complete.
  • During install when it is on or around 43% complete
