Symptom
- When running SAP DTR/NWDI ERP applications or custom applications
- ASE errorlog reports an "infected with signal 11" in the module sendtext() or txt__get_sdes() followed by a stack trace:
Current process (0x14100a1) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x0000000000ca2736 (sendtext+0x25), siginfo (code, address) = (128, 0x(nil))
- SQL may include UNION ALL clause along with an ORDER BY and the outer table has in-row LOB columns with NULL values.
- Top functions in the stack can include :
sendtext
txt__get_sdes
LeSendRow::_sendColsToClient
LeSendRow::sendRowToClient
LeEmitSndOp::_LeEoRouteResults
LeEmitSndOp::_LeOpNext
Note: Samples of complete stack traces are available under Attachments.
