2341182 - sapinst GUI does not show in Windows

Symptom

You execute sapinst but it does not connect to the sapinstGUI process. The GUI-based menue for Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) is not being displayed.

Further checking the file 'dev_selfex.out' which is located in the Temp directory set up for the account used to run sapinst, reveals sapinst has actually crashed:

"2016-06-08 13:59:41.311 ianxsysex.c:569: Exitcode was -1073741819
iaextract.c:1104: child has signaled an exec error (-1073741819)."
