2342012 - Work Process On Hold Waiting for Message Server when Many Asynchronous Requests are Sent

Within SAP kernel 7.4x, when many asynchronous requests (e.g. asynchronous RFCs, asynchronous updates etc.) are sent, you might see work processes in On Hold status waiting for handshake response with reason waiting for internal response from message server. This can be seen from work process table (e.g. via transaction SM50). Under such a situation, the work process on hold waits for a handshake response, the additional information for WP status “On Hold”- Internal Response (Mess. Server) - is misleading.
