2342394 - Unable to remove additional index server

Symptom

  • You are trying to remove an additional indexserver but it fails.
  • You have followed the steps in note 1986612 - Removing additional indexserver from Single-Host System.
  • When you run the command call UPDATE_LANDSCAPE_CONFIGURATION('EXECUTE REMOVE','<hostname:port>'); you get the following error:
Could not execute 'call UPDATE_LANDSCAPE_CONFIGURATION('EXECUTE REMOVE','<HOST>:30040')' in 1 ms 92 µs .
SAP DBTech JDBC: [293]: argument type mismatch: remove not allowed;cannot remove indexserver <HOST>:30040. 
reorg for volume 7 is in state 'failed'
