Symptom
When you view the generated compensation statement pdf file, the spacing between the paragraphs does not display. Paragraphs seem compressed.
Reproducing the Issue
When you click on the icon to download the compensation statement to pdf, when you view the generated preview, the spacing between the paragraphs does not display.
When navigating to print the Compensation Statement, if you click on the hyperlink to open and print, the spacing between the paragraphs appears as expected.
The batch print option from within the compensation worksheet is displaying correctly.
Cause
Missing NBSP (Non-breaking Space/No Break Space) ascii character between paragraphs.
Resolution
For the statement to have a spacing in between each paragraphs, you have to add the non-breaking space (NBSP ascii character) in between. To do this, go to the statement, go in between the paragraphs you wish to have a space, kindly press and hold the ALT button on you computer keyboard then press the numbers 255 (ALT+255), you will see that a space will be added. Save and then try to download as PDF to see the changes.
Admin Center>Compensation>Compensation Home>Actions for All Plans>Manage Statements> Go to Standard Compensation Statement Template>Edit
In the statement text, go to the break between the paragraphs, put your mouse there.
WINDOWS: on computers with Windows operating system like Windows 8, Win 7, Vista, Windows XP, etc..
To get the letter, character, sign or symbol "nbsp" : ( Non-breaking space or no-break space ) on computers with Windows operating system:
1) Press the "Alt" key on your keyboard, and do not let go.
2) Keep pressing "Alt", on your keyboard type the number "255", which is the number of the letter or symbol "nbsp" in ASCII table.
3) Then stop pressing the "Alt" key, and ...you got it! (452)
