2343755 - Profit Center and Segment not Derived in The Trial Balance Report

The profit center and segment are shown as "#" when executing the Trial Balance report.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger workcenter.
2. Go to the List subview.
3. In the Trial Balance report, maintain the required parameters (Company details, Set of Books, Accounting Period/Year and G/L Account).
4. Under the G/L Account Reporting Structure: Move the elements Segment, Profit Center, and Business Transaction Type to Rows.
5. Click Go to execute the report.

Notice that the Segment field is shown as "#".

One of the reasons for this behavior is that the default profit center is not maintained for the company in the respective Business Configuration activity.

1. Go to the Business Configuration workcenter.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Open the activity list.
4. Select Fine Tune Activity Profit Center Derivation.
5. Click Edit Default Profit Center.
6. Maintain the Profit Center and Save.

Once the Trial Balance report is executed again, the Profit Center and Segment will be displayed.
