2344769 - Manager Cycle Detected - Or- User would become their own manager in the reporting line error

Not able to update a user record in Manage Users or in Employee Import

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

1. Go to "Employee Import"
2. Choose "Basic Import"
3. Browse and upload your file
4. Click on "Validate Import" and see the error message 

This behavior can also happen in "Manage Users" in non EC instances.

You get that error message when you have a loop in the managers hierarchy.

Examples of loop:

• manager reporting to his own direct report

Or:

• User A is manager of User B
• User B is manager of User C
• User C is manager of User A

Correct the issue(s) with the Manager Cycle by follwoing the steps below:

1. Go to Employee Export > Export the file> Check the managers hirarchy and correct it.
2. Go to Employee Import > Select the file and click on "Validate File" to be sure the hierarchy is correct.
