2346204 - Extractors are not executed in SAP Solution Manager System

Most of the extractors are active but grey or they are not executed for a long time in the Extractor Framework, even though step "Extractor Setup" is well performed.



Job 'EFWK Resource Manager' finishes successfully. However, its spool log states message: A previous RM is still running - this instance will not be started.

• 'Extractors Administration' or 'Extractors Alerting Administration'

The message "A previous RM is still running - this instance will not be started" may sometimes only indicate that another job is running. However, if the long-running job was triggered several days ago, or it has already been too old to be seen in SM37, then it means the job didn't finish well and the lock was not deleted.

Please check the lock entry and job EFWM Resource Manager by the following steps:

1. Run transaction SM12, input the User Name as 'SM_EFWK' and the client number to get the lock entry.
2. According to the lock's date, try to find out the long-running job 'EWFK Resouce Manager' in transaction SM37.
3. If the job is found, please judge whether it can finish or not.
4. If not, or the locked job is too old to be found in SM37, please delete it in SM12.
