Symptom
We have enabled the Transition Period Functionality in employee Central via Position Management Settings UI or via Position Types, but having terminated the incumbent of a position for a future date, we cannot select the Position in the Hire wizard(s) or Take Action (MSS) UI.

Reproducing the Issue
- Todays date the 01/Jan/2016.
- Terminate incumbent of position 0001 on the 10/Jan/2016 with transition period of 3 months enabled.
- Add New Hire on the 07/Jan/2016 and enter personal and employment details until you come to the position section of Job info.
- Add position 0001 to position field in New Hire > Job Info Screen. Position does not appear
Cause
- With the enablement of the Transition Period Functionality the system will allow a position to have an FTE of more than one, or will allow more than one users to be assigned to a position.
- The Position's "To Be Hired" (Vacant) status will not be changed, and the To Be Hired status will remain as "No" until the incumbent of the Position is terminated.
- If you have the above highlighted field set to YES, you will not be able to see the position you wish to assign, during the transition period in the New hire, or MSS UI.
Resolution
- Navigate to Admin Center Position Management Settings > UI Customising>
- Set the option "Show only Positions that have the status To Be Hired in the Hire UI and in the MSS Job Info UI" value to "No"
