2347102 - Position field not populated when hiring a new employee from Add New Employee


When using Add New Employee to hire a new employee into Employee Central, in the Job Information section, the Position field returns no results.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Admin Center > Add New Employee or Manage Pending Hires
  2. Select an employee or complete the required information for a new employee
  3. In the Job Information section, select a Position


The Position field has MDF security enabled and sufficient permission has not been granted to the hiring user.

  1. Access the Admin Center
  2. Enter Manage Permission Roles into the tool search
  3. Select the Role which is assigned to the Hiring User
  4. Select Miscellaneous Permissions from the menu on the left
  5. Find Position the panel on the right
  6. Grant permissions for access to the Position field. At least View Current is necessary
