2347423 - Item revision number is not reset while copying an item

Symptom

When you copy an item it does not let you specify the revision number and the new item uses the revision number of the source item and does not start at 1.

Reproducing the Issue

Take an item which was at revision 10 and copy it as a new item. After the copy completed its revision number was 10 which is the same as the source item and not 1 as if it were a new item.

Cause

This is an expexted behavior as some customers desired to have the revision kept in tack after the revision.

Resolution

To reset the revision number after the copy go to the new item and select the revise item and change the revision number.
