2349672 - Unable to sort and filter on certain Calculated Columns in Canvas Reports - ORD and Advanced Reports

Symptom

Currently some functions are not supported on Calculated columns in Canvas reporting.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the instance
  2. Go to Report Center
  3. Edit the Detailed report > Edit Query
  4. Go to Manage Filters
  5. Apply a calculated column as filter

Cause

Limited support for calculated columns of certain data types.

Resolution

Please note that sorting, filtering, and runtime filters are currently not supported for calculated columns in the following scenarios:

  • The calculated column contains an Ad Hoc column of type Timestamp
  • The AGE function is used in the calculation
  • The calculation uses Conditional If/Then/Else statements
  • The calculated column is based on another calculated column
