2350780 - Error: You are not authorized to view this page - SuccessFactors Learning

Symptom

Experiencing error: "You are not authorized to view this page" when admin tries to notify user and click on "from" address field.

Environment

Learning Management System (LMS)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to item.
  2. Select user and click on " Send notification" in the actions list.
  3. You will experience this error message: "You are not authorized to view this page"

Cause

This is caused by missing specific permissions:

  • Add administrator.
  • Search user profile.

Resolution

  • Error won't appear again once affected permissions are added to admin's assigned role.
  • Navigate to SystemAdmin/security/role management/select role assigned to admin/click to edit role/click on permissions/click on "add one or more from list"/add missing permissions/apply changes.
