2353372 - Reorg rebuild return "Msg 1505" even when there is no duplicated keys in the table - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Due to some reason, a reorg rebuild process needs to be terminated manually in the middle of its processing.
  • However, when run reorg rebuild again after it's terminated, it keeps reporting "Msg 1505" as below.

Beginning REORG REBUILD of table 'xxx'.
Non-clustered index (index id = 2) is being rebuilt.
Msg 1505, Level 16, State 2:
Server 'xxx', Line 1:
Create unique index aborted on duplicate key. Primary key is '"xxx"'

  • Checking the Primary Key reported in the error above, but do not find the duplicated rows.
