How to define fields to be copied when creating a new position from Position Organization Chart?

You can define a business rule to define fields to be copied from the current position.

1. Create a business rule with Default Position Attributes in Position Organization Chart scenario.

2. Set up the rule according to the business requirement.
3. Select this rule for the field Rule for Defining Copy-Relevant Position Fields under the tab UI Synchronizing in Position Management Settings. 

Note:

• The field Higher-Level Position should not be included in the above business rule. The the higher-level position is derived from the position hierarchy automatically by the system when you create a new peer-level or lower-level positon in Position Organization Chart.
• use the rule defined in position management settings under "Rule for Defining Copy-Relevant Position Fields" for the mass copy of a position. This does not work: this rule (Rule for Defining Copy-Relevant Position Fields) is only used for Add Peer Position or Add Lower-Level Position.
• This rule only works for "Add Peer Position" and "Add Lower-Level Position" Functions.
• It 's not for the "Copy Position" function :The copy function will duplicate the position fields from the source position (except position external code) and effective start date is always set as the display date of the position org chart.
