2354283 - EC Alert and Notification not Being Sent to the Members of a Dynamic Group

The members of the Dynamic Group used in a workflow as the recipients of a EC Alert and Notification are not receiving the corresponding alert and/or notification.

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 
• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

1. Configure a saveAlert Business Rule to trigger EC Alerts and Notifications
2. Define a Workflow in the rule, which has a Dynamic Group as the Approver and/or the CC Role
3. Trigger the rule 
4. In the defined date no notification is sent to the members of the dynamic group 

There is a limitation when using EC Alerts and Notifications for EC Core Alerts, with regards to Dynamic Groups.
If you wish to use a Dynamic Group as either the Approver or CC role, then the Dynamic Group needs to be defined with in a Dynamic Role and this Dynamic Role needs to be triggered in the workflow in the approver and/or CC role sections.

You wish for the following Dynamic Group to be used in the EC Alert and Notification Workflow

  

1. Go to Manage Organisation, Pay and Job Structures
2. Create a Dynamic Role in which you include the wanted Dynamic Group, in this case Test Group

3. Go to the wanted Workflow and add the Dynamic role in approver step and/or the cc role

  

4. Save
