Symptom

  • Error: 'The installer is already running on the directory specified' appears even though no other SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform installs are running
  • Following messages appear near the end of the setupengine.log

Error: Detected another engine running using the same root folder.  Aborting...
   ........<cut lines>........
Error: An install is already running at this location.
PerlUISession::ShowMessage() called.
