2354907 - VAT Return Release - Account Determination Missing for Item Type Tax Payables. Specify Account Determination in Chart of Accounts and Account Determination Profile

You are trying to release a Tax Return but the system gives the below error message:

'Release of tax return XYZ failed'  ( XYZ represents Tax return ID).

'Account determination is missing for item type Tax Payables. Specify account determination in chart of accounts ABC Chart of Accounts DEF and account determination profile <ABC Column Path Tax->Tax Payments->Product Tax Payable, Item Type Tax Payables'.

(ABC represents Account ID, DEF represents Account Determination Profile)

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Tax Returns view of the respective tax return type, for example, VAT Returns.
3. Select your Tax Return ID and click Release.

You get an error message:

'Release of tax return XYZ failed'.

'Account determination is missing for item type Tax Payables. Specify account determination in chart of accounts ABC Chart of Accounts DEF and account determination profile <ABC Column Path Tax->Tax Payments->Product Tax Payable, Item Type Tax Payables'.

The account determination for Tax Type to the respective Country is not maintained.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the project and open the Activity List.
4. Open the activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
5. Press View.
6. Under Account Determination section select Tax.
7. Select your Account Determination Profile.
8. Then navigate to the Tax Payments tab.
9. Select resepective Country.
10. Click on Add Row button.
11. Maintain the Account Determination for respective Tax Type.
12. Press Save and Close.
