SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HXM
- In Homepage, under To Do section click Onboarding Manager Activities
- Overdue Manager Activity exist
Cause
Onboarding Hiring Manager unable to complete Manager Hire Activities in Onboarding
Resolution
The easiest way to close the Hiring Manager Activities is to complete it in Onboarding:
Note:
- When New Hire Onboarding process is finished, meaning all required activities have status completed, the archive button appears
- Using Archive Button, you may hide new hire record from New Hire Activity tab
- Hiring Manager Activity will be hidden and record will be available in Manage Data
Remove Open and Overdue Hiring Managers Activities via Export &nd Import
Before removing the Hiring Manager Activities in To Do, the System Administrator needs to have the following:
Permission Roles
- Miscellaneous Permissions > OnboardingProcess > Edit and Import/Export Field Permission
- Metadata Framework > Manage Data
Once the prerequisite permission roles are granted, follow the steps below on how to remove open or overdue Hiring Manager Activities:
Export Generic Object OnboardingProcess
- Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM
- Click Main Menu and select Admin Center
- Under Tools, locate Import and Export Data
- In the dropdown field Select the Action to Perform, click Export Data
- In the dropdown field Select Generic Object, find and click OnboardingProcess
- In the dropdown field Select all data records, click Yes if you want to export all Manager Hire Activities and No for specific people
- If user selected No in Select all data records, the field requires at least 1 Manager Hire Activities
- Click Export button once finished
- Go back to Admin Center and under Tools, search Monitor Job
- Confirm and download the OnboardingProcess file
Editing the ProcessStatus
- Open the compressed file and export "OnboardingProcess.csv"
- Changed the ProcessStatus cell of new hire record from OPEN to CLOSED

- Click Save to reflect changes made
Note:
- ProcessStatus column only accepts the following values
- OPEN
- CLOSED
- NOT_REQUIRED
- If only 1 user needs to be updated, use Notepad and replace OPEN to CLOSED
Import Updated Generic Object OnboardingProcess
- Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM
- Click Main Menu and select Admin Center
- Under Tools, locate Import and Export Data
- In the dropdown field Select the Action to Perform, click Import Data
- In the dropdown field Select Generic Object, find and click OnboardingProcess
- In the File field, click Browse button and select saved OnboardingProcess.csv
- Click Validate button to review if the selected file has a correct format and values
- Click Import button to save the changes
Note:
- When validating an import, a job will run and a file will be generated with error in Monitor Job for an Export
- An error message will receive in the exported file and what incorrect value needs to rectify
