Resolution

In Configure Object Definition, clicking on Fields Details (beside Data Type) reveals a field called "UI Field Renderer". This field is used to define specific UI behavior when selecting a value from a dropdown in Manage Data, ensuring that only the values explicitly configured are displayed in the dropdown list.

For instance, if you wish to hide the external code for picklist or generic object fields in Manage Data, this can be accomplished using the UI Field Renderer. 



The possible field values supported by MDF are as follows:
  • displayPickListWithoutExternalCode (for picklists)
  • displayGOWithoutExternalCode (for generic objects)

NOTE: Following the 1H 2026 release, with the universal activation of the Latest People Profile, the UI Field Renderer field is expected to function exclusively in Manage Data and will no longer apply to the Latest People Profile.
