2357769 - Error "Sorry, You do not have the right to 'Add objects to the folder' (ID: xx) for '' (ID: xx)" when creating a shortcut of a report in BI launch pad

Symptom

  • After upgrading from BO XI 3.1 to BI 4.x, users cannot create a shortcut by right clicking a Web Intelligence report.
    The following error message occurs: "Sorry, you do not have the right to 'Add objects to the folder' (ID: x) for "(ID: x). Please contact your administrator if you require this right."

  • It happens only with newly created users.
