2358114 - Dropdown List For Following In Employees Cannot Be Edited

Symptom

Dropdown list in facet Following in Employee work centre cannot be restricted.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the People work centre.
  2. Go to the Employees view.
  3. Search and open an employee ABC (ABC represents the employee's name).
  4. Go to the Following facet.
  5. Open the drop down menu.

Result: All values are available (including Opportunities, Sales Leads, etc.) even if the user ABC  does not have access to those work centres/ views.

Cause

For this particular view the drop down list cannot be restricted.
The list is a standard list which leans on scoping but does not get affected by user access rights.

Resolution

This is expected system behaviour.
