Environment

Goal Management

Resolution

The Mission Statement is configured by adding a goal plan level field in your goal plan template xml. Contact a Partner or SuccessFactors Customer Success to have your Goal Plan template updated. (TGM-3939)

Alternative: The default value of the Mission Statement can be configured in the xml as indicated below.  You can also use the Beta Goal Import to update it. Please refer to the attached sample csv file with mission statement.  For instuctions on how to use Beta Goal Import click here. If you want to update Mission Statement with empty value via import,you need to use \NULL as the value in the OBJPLAN_obj-plan-field1 column of the import file. If in your import file you left the OBJPLAN_obj-plan-field1 column empty with an intention to clear the Mission Statement value in the Goal Plan page, there will be no change that will be made to the Mission Statement in the Goal Plan page.

How to configure?

On goal plan template,  add a goal plan level field like this:

  <field-definition id="obj-plan-field1" type="text" required="false" detail="false" viewdefault="on" showlabel="false" field-show-coaching-advisor="false" cascade-update="push-down" level="plan">
       <field-label>Mission Statment (default label)</field-label>
       <field-label lang="en_GB">Mission Statment (en_GB)</field-label>
       <default-value> Good corporate mission statement says whom the firm will serve and how it will go about accomplishing its societal purpose. It communicates the essence of your organization to your stakeholders and to the public.
    </default-value>
  </field-definition>

NOTE:
1.  The id must be “obj-plan-field1”.
2.  The level attribute must be set as “plan”, which indicates it’s plan level field. If level attribute is omitted, system would take it as a goal level field, just like name, metrics etc.
