2358528 - Substitution not working in Background processing

Symptom

  • A substitution has been defined in transaction OBBH. Even though it works when processing an invoice in the corresponding online transactions, MIRO, MRRL etc; the substitution does not work when processing an invoice in the background, although it is still called.
  • The same issue also happens when using BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE.
