2358877 - sybmgmtdb database offline after restart. Errors 823 and 926 - SAP ASE

After a restart of ASE, the Job Scheduler database (sybmgmtdb) failed to recover. The following errors are seen in the ASE log:

Database 'sybmgmtdb' (dbid xxxx): Recovery failed. Check the ASE errorlog for further information as to the cause.

followed by :

Error: 926, Severity: 14, State: 2                                                                                        
Database 'sybmgmtdb' cannot be opened. An earlier attempt at recovery marked it 'suspect'. Check the ASE errorlog for information as to the cause.
