2359665 - SUM upgrade aborts in any phase with Error Output file '#:\<DIR_PUT><phase_name>.<SID>' is not yet scanned completely..

During an upgrade using Software Update Manager (SUM) tool, the following error occurs in any phase and SUM is not able to continue with the upgrade:

Output file '#:\usr\sap\<SID>\SUM\abap\log\<phase_name>.<SID>' is not yet scanned 

completely. Some critical error might have occurred before.: The operation completed successfully.

OR

Last error code set:

Output file '../usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/abap/log/<phase_name>.<SID>' is not yet scanned

completely. Some critical error might have occurred before.: No such file or

directory
