2360172 - You Are Not Able To Create The Facebook Social Channel

Symptom

You are trying to create a new Facebook channel. However, the account details do not come up in the channel when clicking Get Account Details.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Administration work center.
  2. Go to the Service & Social view.
  3. Select Social Media Channels.
  4. Create a new channel for Facebook.
    • Add ID, Secrete, Date, Log Level, Direct Message.
  5. Select Connect with Channel.
  6. Logon to the Facebook page.
  7. Select Get Account Details.

No account details get picked.

Cause

You are logged into the different Facebook account.

Resolution

  1. Open two separate tabs in the browser.
  2. In first tab open the HTML5 client of SAP Cloud for Customer.
  3. In other tab open the Facebook page.
  4. Log off from the Facebook account.
  5. In SAP Cloud for Customer, go to the Administration work center.
  6. Go to the Service & Social view.
  7. Select Social Media Channels.
  8. Create a new channel for Facebook.
    • Add ID, Secrete, Date, Log Level, Direct Message.
  9. Select Connect with Channel.
  10. Logon to the Facebook page to which you intend to integrate SAP Cloud for Customer.
  11. Select Get Account Details.

The account details get captured.
