2360552 - After deleting a question you are redirected to the Question Library search page which shows the deleted question

Symptom

  • After opening a Question from the Question Library search results then deleting it, the user is returned to the Question Library search results which displays the deleted question.
  • This may also occur in other sections of the Learning Management System, such as with quizzes.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login as an Administrator >
  2. Navigate to Content > Question Library >
  3. Run a search >
  4. Check the box next to a question & click the Edit button >
  5. Delete the question >
  6. Notice that you’re returned back to the search results that still show the deleted question >
  7. If you attempt to Edit the deleted question, a "new question" window is launched.

Cause

  • This is expected behavior for certain parts of the LMS, such as Quizzes and Question Library.
  • The current architecture does not return to refreshed search results for performance reasons when the back link is clicked.

Resolution

  • A workaround is to re-run the search results after going back.
  • Also consider creating an Enhancement Request for Development to consider for future releases.
