2360689 - Capacity Constraints in Planning Profile ignored in SAP Transportation Management

Symptom

  • SAP Transportation Management (TM) VSR Optimizer used to plan multiple Freight Units (FUs) with selected Vehicle Resource.
  • Aggregate Quantity/Weight/Volume of the FUs exceeds the Capacity of the Vehicle Resource.
  • In the Optimizer Settings for the Planning Profile, the Consider Capacities During Optimization is set to Yes.
  • Optimizer associates all FUs to a single FO and the FO is overloaded.

Why does it appear as if the Consider Capacities During Optimization setting is ignored?
