2360854 - Error Message: Restriction ODT_MANAGER_WCVIEW XXX Already Exists

Symptom

You are setting a substitute for an employee and receive an error message stating, Access to the employee work view has already been added.Restriction ODT_MANAGER_WCVIEW XXX already exists.Save failed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Go to the Task Substitutions view.
  3. Select the employee for which you have to define the substitute.
  4. Click on Edit Substitution.
  5. Enter the substitute details and click on Save.

Cause

The substitute does not have the same or more Access rights as that of the employee.

Resolution

You can compare the Access rights for both employees by following the given steps.

  1. Go to the Application and User management work center.
  2. Go to the Business Users view.
  3. Select the user and click on Edit> Access Rights.
  4. Check for ODT_MANAGER_WCVIEW work center and view assignment.
