Symptom

  • Shortdump "START_CALL_SICK" occurs, which contains the error:
    "The UUID daemon (uuidd) not active (Code: 59999). Check SAP note 1391070."

  • Database inconsistency: Start Transaction SICK.

          SAP System Check

          UUID daemon (uuidd) not found. Check SAP note 1391070.

  • T-code "SICK" also gives the same output for UUID daemon.
