2362276 - newid() function returns different results on Windows and on Linux

Symptom

  • Running newid() procedure in Interactive SQL (dbisql) the results on Windows compared to Linux are different.
  • On Windows consecutive executions of newid() give completely different results.
  • On Linux consecutive executions of newid() return results that seem to be sequential.
  • Both still give unique results.
