2362474 - Number of Code List Values for Extension Field is Limited to 1000 Entries

Symptom

The limit on number of code lists supported for extension fields created through KUT is 1000.

Error: The number of code value entries exceeds the upload limit.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the concerned work center.
  2. Open an instance of the object.
  3. Go to Adapt button and Edit Master Layout.
  4. Hover mouse over the concerned Extension Field.
  5. Select Change Properties.
  6. Select Field Definition.
  7. Select the Edit button.
  8. Under the List Values seciton, select Upload.
  9. Select the list file in .csv format and upload.

Error seen.

Cause

There is a known limitation of the Hybris Cloud for Customer solution and the same has been documented expicitly in the help center document: Extension Fields Quick Guide

Resolution

This is a system behavior/limitation with no immediate solution.
