2363136 - Cannot search using Wild Cards

Symptom

When performing a search on LMS environment, you cannot use the wild card search (% and _ ).

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

Try to perform any search, like the user search, using the characters _ and %.

Cause

The wild cards are not enabled on the environment.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to System Admin > Configuration > System Configuration > Search
  2. Please look for the options ‘enableSingleCharacterWildCard’ and ‘enableMultipleCharacterWildCard’
  3. Set both options to true to enable the single ( _ ) and multiple ( % ) wild cards
