An analysis option is set as the default in a user's filter profile. Perhaps there is also a dimension override to insert a space in front of its name to put it first in alphabetical order. Regardless, when the user first opens a page with selectable analysis, it is not the default option.

Cause
If your home page uses any queries containing measures calculated using the analysis option you intend as your default (e.g. EOP Headcount - Female uses Gender), that analysis will be invalid as a selection and the next option will be selected. This may not be apparent until you navigate to another page.
Resolution
Ensure that your home page, or any page you navigate to before opening measure pages, does not use measures in its tables or charts that are based on your default analysis.
